Reason behind the reason aka I don't really need to do this actually!!

I have had people keep on asking me why am I so silly/crazy/stupid/[insert descriptive word] about a movie. For that matter, a highly popular movie : Spiderman the movie.

As I have Rant and bitch about both the Spiderman movie. The comments I received and the nagging questions that is being asked "Why the hell am I being totally adamant about the unlimited web in the movie?"

Here is the reason behind the reason. Believe it or not, I don't care the least bit if you don't believe what I am going to say. Just be clear that it is the truth.

I am so against the "unlimited web" concept because this Hollywood created Spiderman is NOT the Spiderman I grew up with. Most of the classic comics and cartoons character are my childhood friends. They are NOT just fictional characters, to me they are my childhood friends. Superman, Batman, Spiderman, Snoopy, Garfield, The Flintstone, The Jetsons, Scooby Doo and the Scooby gang, Voltron, Thundercats, Space Sheriff Gavan, Kamen Rider Black, Ultraman, Doraemon, He-Man...etc. They are all my childhood friends. Hollywood didn't MUTILATE Superman nor Batman in the movies, but why must they changed Spiderman's mechanical webslinger to "UNLIMITED WEB"? Why?

To other people, they can accept any change because the "Cool" factor is there. It's like "Wow, a superhero movie. The actors are great! The CGI is great! The storyline is great! This is a great movie!".

To me, it is an insult. What that idiotic director did to my friend is unforgivable! The "spirit" of Spiderman got lost in the movie. No one understands how I feel. Not that I blame them. It did not happened to their friend!

For what it is worth, in the first place, I don't really need to give a reason to a reason to all this, but I felt people need to know how differently I felt about it. Besides, being "friends" with fictional characters is commonly known as being "crazy/insane/mad..etc". Well, this "crazy" person is only human. Though, this "crazy" person still has childhood friends and these childhood friends will always be with this "crazy" person till the end of time.

Actually, I wanted to blog about Tsubasa Chronicle but I haven't watch episode 1 yet. Although I did listen to the ending song which was sang by Goddess Maaya Sakamoto. Anyway, I will blog about Tsubasa Chronicle later when I finish watching episode 1 of it. In the meantime, here is Ah! My Goddess most popular Goddess Belldandy. Please don't let Keiichi Morisato know about this ok?

Results of Renovation of Blog.

Results is, my blog is only 100+ errors away from W3C's valid html standard. It won't be able to get 100% valid html though, since some of the blog add-ons and codes from some blogging tools a spilling out errors when running through the html validator.

Anyway, that is not the only thing I did to my blog. I also rearranged the links on my sidebar and introduced more categories so that it is easier for people to find the links they want.

Actually, my blog has lots of links linked to useful websites and also fellow bloggers. I know that Keen from direneeds.org found that my links section was indeed useful to him (the Gundam link)! Anyway, I hope my links section will be useful to others that visits my blog!.

Another thing that I did with my blog is that there is a slight layout change (not really noticeable). I removed the use of the <table> tags. Now I use CSS to define the layout of my blog now.(another compliances issue)

Anyway, With all the code cleaning, layout changing, font resizing or something like that, I want to know what you all think about the "minor"? "major"? changes of my blog?

Hello, my name is Kenny Lee Jian Siong. At first, I didn't want to follow the general trend that is now. Blogging. I never want to follow what other people does. I still don't. I only want to be myself. And yet I found out that sometimes I can't be myself. When I want to talk something there is no one to talk to. Everyone I know (my friends) just aren't interested in the things I am interested in. I want to talk about fantasy, possibilities, tv series, animes, anime music, game music..etc things that I am interested in. Before there was blogging, the only venue for me to talk is in online forums. When blogging started to burst into the online scene, I didn't care much about it since I, at that time thinks it's nothing interesting. Then I realized that I could just be talking to myself by blogging. So, I decided to blog not for other people's reading pleasure, but for myself. I found that I could go beyond imagination, beyond thoughts and beyond what I like to do. I could type down countless possibilities and yet not afraid that people would get bored about it. I believe there are people like me out there that like to talk about "possibilities". What is this "possibilities" that I am talking about? To me, I believe that this world is special with countless "possibilities". To other people, I believe the word is call "Fantasy" or to some people, it is just "thinking too much". I also blog because I want to tell people what I don't like. In my real life, I can't tell people I hate this, I hate that. Why? Because no one ever listens to what I said!

The title of my blog is call Beyond Thoughts Dreams [一個夢] (the chinese words means: One Dream).

Sousei no Aquarion

Bandai the company that started Mobile Suit Gundam, has released a new mecha tv series. It is call Sousei no Aquarion (Holy Genesis of Aquarion). It's the story of how earth got invaded by Fallen Angels and a breed of human called Elementals are earth's last hope against these Fallen Angels.

Minor Renovating of Blog

I was cleaning up the html codes on my blog. I also rearranged my links and put in more categories to make it a bit neat. However, this is just a minor renovating of my blog. I still have a long way to go in the html department and also the CSS department. Using a html validator, my blog has 600+ html errors and wrong usage of html tags. Before I did the cleaning, my blog had about 1000+ html errors and wrong usage of html tags!!!

Now, although the blog won't load faster than usual, but I think there should be a slight differences or something like that.

Anyway, my blog will be undergoing more renovating over the week. If you see any weirdness on my blog, don't panic. It just mean that I am cleaning up the html codes and experimenting with the html codes to make my blog better. :)

Nightmare at Screamyx, Terrorkom

TMnutz on April 7th, gave that announcement. As it turns out, service degradation of its international links to Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and United States was worst than just "slight drop in performance" as claimed by Terrorkom. Everyone in Malaysia is experiencing very slow internet speed. The problems lies at :

1. Asia Pacific Cable Network 2 (APCN2) cable S8S (Philippine - Katong) - near BU4 in segment 8

2.S3 (HongKong - Shanghai) and the ring switch that is being implemented in the interim.

The repairs on S8 will be done today (April 9th) at 20:00hr(Malaysian Time)(hopefully). While the S3 cable will start repairs on the 16th and completion is estimated latest by April 20th!.

Maybe we shouldn't fault Terrorkom for this, because the APCN2 cable isn't their SOLE responsibility, but they in their announcement said that only a SLIGHT drop in performance when in ACTUAL fact it is not just a SLIGHT drop in performance, but a HUGE drop in performance. Since April 7th, loading of websites slowed down to a crawl! Some even timed out before it is finish loading. Downloading speed was around 0.3kb/s to 1kb/s. Although it got better by April 8th, still the download speed and surfing speed was way below the "slight drop in performance" claimed by Terrorkom!

I have to use a temporary workaround to get better surfing speed. The workaround is to use a proxy that doesn't link to to Singapore, Hong Kong, China, Korea, Japan, Thailand and United States. I am currently using a proxy hosted in United Arab Emirates. (Using Google lead me to the UAE google site.)

So, anyone want to temporary have some surfing speed back, then use a proxy that is hosted in Europe or some Middle East countries. It sure helps when there is a "slight drop in performance" as claimed by Terrorkom to users of Screamyx!

MyMomsBest.com is a 700+ members online parenting and breastfeeding support group. In 2004, the group members have showered the mothers of ill children who were hospitalised in University Malaya Medical Centre with thoughtful and personalised gifts.

This year, on Mother's Day which falls on Sunday, May 8th, 2005, we hope to organise the same gifts giving project. There are about 200+ beds in total in UMMC paediatric section. Last year, we collected more gifts than expected and they were given away to the nurses in the paediatric ward on Nurses' Day and also to the geriatic (old people) wards. This year, we hope to collect more gifts so that we can give the surplus to other Government hospitals paediatric wards.

Therefore, we hope to get the support from the caring public and also MyMomsBest members to help us achieve this. Here is how you can help.
