My friends and I have recently started a project at www.start.com.my. To start things with, we have created a Wiki Public Directory. We have a bold vision of making it the most complete yellow pages or public directory in Malaysia. Having numbers to access any airports in Malaysia, being able to locate any branch of any bank in Malaysia easily, finding contact numbers of all hotels in Penang without having to pay extra to the brokers, etc. These are things we hope to achieve, and to give back to the Malaysian community.
The information will be free for anyone to access, and by making it a wiki-based site, just about anyone can go in and add or edit the entries.
You are invited to join the big community! You may go there and get anything you want, or you may decide to contribute to a project that is for everyone, by everyone.
I think this is a very good idea. It is something like an Online Yellow Pages where you can find anything about Malaysia. And if anyone wants to contribute info about a certain item, they can just register and add/edit contents. Best of all, it is free!
